On July 28, the Environmental Health Conference was held in Charging Bull Auditorium. The focus of this year was ‘Effects of Air Pollution’. The conference drew significant attention from both the medical community and students.Renowned medical experts delivered insightful presentations, sharing their latest research findings and discussing the severe health impacts of air pollution. The audience gained a deeper understanding of the urgent need for action to protect public health and the environment. At the conclusion of the event, Brig Faheem Ayub, Chief Coordinator KIMS honored the distinguished speakers by presenting them with certificates and shields, recognizing their valuable contributions to the field. The seminar proved to be a highly informative and impactful gathering for all attendees.
The event featured an engaging question-and-answer session where participants had the opportunity to interact directly with the experts, raising pertinent queries about air quality management and preventive measures. Educational materials and pamphlets highlighting the dangers of air pollution and ways to mitigate its effects were distributed among the guests. The seminar fostered collaboration among different stakeholders, encouraging medical professionals, policymakers, and students to work together towards innovative solutions.
A poster competition among students was also held which drew a healthy competition and students were rewarded accordingly. The positive response from attendees underscored the importance of continuous awareness and research in combating air pollution for a healthier future.
