Basic Sciences Departments
Department Of Biochemistry
Biochemistry explores the chemical processes and substances that occur within living organisms. It investigates the structure, function, and interactions of biological molecules such as proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, lipids, and small molecules like vitamins and minerals. From understanding the intricacies of cellular metabolism to deciphering the mechanisms of genetic expression, biochemistry plays a central role in advancing our understanding of the biological world. The strength of the Biochemistry Department is its conductive environment and committed staff. The vibrant teaching staff is highly qualified with postgraduate degrees and certifications along with vast teaching experience.
Aims & Objectives
Providing high-quality education and training to undergraduate students. Conducting fundamental and applied research in various areas of biochemistry such as molecular biology, enzymology, metabolism, genetics, and protein structure-function relationships. Integrating biochemical principles with other disciplines such as cell biology, genetics, pharmacology, and physiology. Promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty members.
