The subject of Pharmacology is concerned with comprehensive study of drugs on the functions of living system including their classification, mechanism of action, pharmacological effects, indications, contraindications and adverse effects.
Acquiring knowledge of Pharmacology is crucial as modern medicine depends heavily on use of drugs to treat any disease. Here, the department of Pharmacology is comprised of well-equipped Laboratory, faculty rooms and an animal house. Subject information is delivered to students using various teaching methodologies including lectures, case-based learning, theme-based sessions and practical’s which are performed on laboratory animals such as rabbits and mice etc.
Aims & Objectives
Our aim is to deliver subject information in an easy manner covering all essential concepts including how, when and why to give the drugs, their rational use and interaction with other drugs. Our prospect is to produce competent doctors in future which can better serve the humanity and provide excellent care to patients.

Ms.Tahira Fatima, Head of the Behavioral Science Department, is a committed academician, skilled clinician, and accomplished researcher in the field of psychology. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and has served as an Educational Psychologist, bringing valuable expertise in psychological assessment, intervention, and educational guidance. She has a number of research publications to her credit, reflecting her dedication to promoting evidence-based practice and advancing the understanding of human behavior.
Under her leadership, the Behavioral Science Department is flourishing with innovative teaching strategies, impactful research, and student-centered initiatives, contributing significantly to both academic excellence and the promotion of mental health awareness.
