Selection Board/Committee. There shall be a selection board/Committee consisting of:
a . The Principal who shall be the chairman The Dean.
b . Vice Principal / Commandant.
c . The Deputy Director Human Resource.
d . The chairperson/Head of the Department concerned; provided that when the board/committee meets to select officers other than teaching faculty shall not take part in the proceeding of the selection board/committee;
e . 1x member from 25 Mech Div.
f . Functions of the Selection Board/Committee shall be:
1 : The selection board/Committee shall consider all eligible applications for teaching and non-teaching posts received in response to a vacancy or advertisement and shall consider for appointment to such posts.
2 : The selection board/committee may recommend to the Board the grant of a higher initial pay in a suitable case for reasons to be recorded.
3 : The selection board/committee may recommend to the appointment of an eminently qualified person to a position in the Institute/College on the terms and conditions as may be prescribed.
4 : The selection board/committee shall consider all cases of promotion of officers of the Institute/College and recommend to the Board the names of suitable candidates for such promotions.
5 : The final approval of all appointments will be obtained from the Deputy Chairman.
